The President of the Republic Bajram Begaj will travel the next day to Shkodra, to meet the only mayor of the Democratic Party, Bardh Spahina.

This meeting will be a continuation of the talks with the political leaders for the discussion on the date of the local elections in 2023. It is learned that the meeting of the Head of State with Bardh Spahina will take place at 09:45 in the City Hall, and then Begaj will also stops at meetings with other Shkodra authorities.

Yesterday, Bajram Begaj received Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Presidency, while today he held meetings with the head of the PL, Ilir Metaj, the heads of small parties, Fatmir Mediu, Vangjel Dule, Agron Duka and Dashamir Shehi to give their opinion them regarding the election date. Meanwhile, earlier Begaj had also welcomed the vice-president of the Democratic Party, Oerd Bylykbash, to the meeting.

Meanwhile, according to the Electoral Code, the elections in Albania take place in the periods from April 15 to May 15, or from October 15 to November 15, but in this case the elections will most likely be in the first period.
