The acting Mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, declared today during a press conference from the Municipal Council that this institution is not affected by a functional crisis.

She previously signed the dismissal of Vice President Sara Goxhaj and Secretary General Alban Dokushi, appointed to these positions by Erion Veliaj, but said that the misunderstanding had started due to a lack of information about the conditions in which he is located.

Ristani also thanked Prime Minister Edi Rama, saying that he has stood by the Municipality during these difficult times.

"There is no functional crisis in the Municipality of Tirana. The work continues with the same vision that Veliaj has guided. I have been alongside Veliaj for 10 years, I have worked for so long to serve the city. There is no media that can extinguish respect for Veliaj and for respect towards him, we must work and work.

"In the end, history will remember deeds and not rumors. I also want to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has been by our side in these difficult days. All our channels are open," said Ristani, among other things.
