He also targeted Florjan Binaj, who is running for Tirana, saying he is an "actor playing the role of an independent candidate."

"I haven't seen them since 2009, but they do appear on these phones from time to time, but there is no chance that they and no one who really knows what we do from the inside to get the support of the people understand how things really are. And above all, whoever says, as they say, that Albania is worse, more corrupt, poorer, and has no chance of being part of the majority, nor of thinking what the majority thinks, nor even of understanding how the majority thinks about this matter, because I am convinced, from the surveys that we have, that the majority does not vote for us because we are the best, but that there is no better one. The others are straw and blood that the devil does not need. It is unprecedented, at least as far as I know European politics, in history, for a party that claims to be the government's alternative to flee from the elections and hide behind some pseudo-independents and even for the capital to bring out an actor who plays the role of an independent candidate.
