Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the residents of Unit number 3 in Tirana.

He spoke about the SP's draft budget, stating that it focuses on pensioners, while also focusing on the salaries of working people.

"Even though it is a day off, we have gathered to share a few moments together and to discuss some of the main lines of the municipality's budget, but also the state budget for the coming year. I am very glad that we have a draft budget of the SP government, which has pensioners as its main topic."

After a long effort, we have managed to create the financial conditions thanks to economic growth, thanks to the reforms that stimulated economic growth, and thanks to the unwavering support of the Albanians who gave us the opportunity to create a long-term project for Albania in the EU. We have committed 1.7 billion euros plus to the pensioners, which will be disbursed during our fourth mandate starting from January next year.

Each year will be financed twice as much as the previous year. What pensioners will receive in 2026 will double in 2027, triple in 2028, quadruple in 2029 and quintuple in 2030. It is a huge effort from a financial point of view, but it is an effort that we can finally make, because not only is it something we have aimed for and desired, but on the other hand we can do it without compromising the rest, economic growth, the revenues that we need to allocate for all those aspects related to children, kindergartens, nurseries, schools, from healthcare to social care.

In the budget for the year that is being drafted, starting in January, the minimum wage for all Albanians who live by work, those who earn 400 euros, will go up to 500 euros. It will not only be for those who work in the public sector, but for all those who work. By the end of the fourth mandate, we will raise the minimum wage to 700 euros. Because of the minimum wage, other wages will also increase. The wages of teachers, doctors, nurses, police officers, military personnel and everyone else will increase," Rama said, among other things.
