Prime Minister Edi Rama has denied that there is a rift in relations between him and the American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim.
In a statement for the media, Rama said that no ethics were broken with the post of the Foreign Ministry, which announced the launch of the procedures of Ambassador Kim. The head of government further added that with the American ambassador "the relationship is stronger than ever" mentioning also the meeting they had the day before.
"No ethics of any kind have been broken and the replacement process has started, as stated by the Foreign Ministry, of course we did not start it, but the American State Department started it, as for any ambassador, not us. We have America special, we do not comment on all ambassadors. The adhesion between me and the ambassador is stronger than ever if we can use the metaphor of cracks and adhesions. There is no problem, we had a long constructive, friendly meeting yesterday. Who you see cracks, you're wrong." Rama said.
