During the meeting of the Committee for Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight, a clash was recorded between the chairman of the committee, Fatmir Xhafaj , and the Ombudsman, Endrit Shabani.

The debate was sparked by discussions on the implementation of the Ombudsman's recommendations, accompanied by retorts between the two officials.

Debate:

Shabani: Only 21% of the Ombudsman's recommendations are implemented. If you are satisfied with this performance, I am not.

Xhafaj: What are we satisfied with and what are we not… You need to change your language, because you are speaking to me here as if you are the leader of the party, not the People's Advocate.

Shabani: I came to represent my institution, this comment does not honor you. I am not a politician.

Shabani: We didn't come here to show what you and I did in the past.
