Prime Minister Edi Rama promised in Brussels that Albania will repeal the law on strategic investments.

This is because, according to him, this law has already fulfilled its mission.

As for the law on protected areas, he said that there is no need to repeal anything, as it is among the best laws.

"We need to repeal the law on strategic investments, which is something we have agreed on for some time. This law has fulfilled its mission and we are working on what will replace this law.

We have nothing to repeal regarding the other law, even though there was a resolution in the European Commission. We must change everything that is not in line with European standards.

The law on strategic investments will be repealed. The one on protected areas is one of the best we have and we worked very hard to draft it.

"It is the first in the country, we did not have one like this. We need to address specific parts, which must be in full compliance with EU standards," said Rama.
