On Sunday, May 12, Edi Rama will start his diaspora tour from Athens. At 11:00 am, all Albanians living in the neighboring country are invited to participate.

A day ago, the Greek media wrote that the Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis is worried about the presence of his Albanian counterpart in Athens on May 12, as it may affect the Albanian vote for the elections of the Greek MEPs.

But the General Secretary of the Socialist Party in a televised interview denied that this tour has electoral purposes, and even more so that it is related to the European elections of June 9.

"We expect a very large presence of the entire Albanian community. It is not a party meeting. Turi is clearly not associated with other political movements, but only in terms of contact with Albanian emigration", he said.

Klos, like every other exponent of the pink office, refuses to comment even on Fredi Beller's candidacy for MEP from Prime Minister Mitsotakis' New Democracy.

"Regarding the movements in Athens, obviously we have no comment", Klosi said.

The tour is named "Proud of Albania".

But what can Albanians who have left their homeland for a better life be proud of for their country, and what's more, when the main promise of the Socialist Party, the right to vote from where they live, still seems far from being fulfilled. accomplished?

"We will continue to ask for this vote. Although it has not happened, the vote of the immigrants is on the verge", said Blendi Klosi.

According to Klos, one of the reasons for starting the tour is to appeal to Albanians living in the Diaspora to return to live and invest in Albania.

"It has become a country for which generations of immigrants already find a golden opportunity to return, but also to find themselves in this development of Albania ," he said.

The head socialist's tour has so far confirmed 4 meetings on May 12 in Athens, May 26 in Milan, London on June 2 and Düsseldorf on June 16.
