Marie Bjerre, the Foreign Minister of Denmark, at the joint press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama and Commissioner Marta Kos, said that if Albania continues at this pace, it will very soon be a member of the European Union.

"Enlargement is a priority of the Danish presidency. Today we are delivering another result. If Albania continues on the same path, at the same pace, membership will be achieved in the near future," said Bjerre.

She further added that Albania belongs to the European family.

"Albania belongs to the European family. I thank Edi Rama for the cooperation during these 6 months, it is impressive how quickly you are delivering results. Keep up the good work and you will be part of the EU soon," she said.
