Former MP Eduart Ndocaj has reacted with irony to Prime Minister Edi Rama , after the announcement of a 2,500 euro reward for State Police officers engaged on the front lines during the protests.

Through a published video, Ndocaj has made a provocative statement, using the same logic of financial rewards to ironize Albanian politicians and ministers.

"I want to offer you 5 thousand euros, whoever throws a Socialist Party or Democratic Party MP in the trash. I guarantee you that you will have 5 thousand euros for every MP in the trash, 10 thousand euros for every minister in the trash," Ndocaj says in the video.

With this statement, the former MP has conveyed a critical message towards the political class, turning the Prime Minister's decision to reward police officers engaged during the protests into an object of irony.

The reaction comes at a tense political moment, as protests against the government and debates over their management continue to be accompanied by clashes and strong statements from various political actors.

Ndocaj's statement is an ironic reaction to the politics of rewards, and it remains to be seen whether it will be followed by other reactions on the political scene.
