Gender Equality Law, Berisha: We will take it to the Constitutional Court

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared today, November 15, that the opposition will take the law on gender equality to the Constitutional Court.

He said that the opposition will do its utmost to show citizens what this law means and will demand a referendum for its repeal.

"We will take the law to the Constitutional Court, but don't expect anything. The Constitutional Court is in control and has proven that it is in control, in its entirety and not in every act. We will do everything to clarify this law to the citizens and to request a referendum for its repeal," said Berisha.

We recall that the law on gender equality has caused strong debate in public opinion. The law was approved with 77 votes in favor of the majority.
