The former deputy chairman of the Democratic Party, removed from this political force by Lulzim Basha, Jozefina Topalli, has joined today the Assembly of the Democratic Party, convened by Sali Berisha. Topalli told the media that before the Assembly is the time for real opposition and not a farce.  

" We are living in a critical moment. And in critical moments there is nothing more fundamental than to be all together. Today is the moment to be true to ourselves, to the principles and to the dreams of Albanians, to have a real opposition.

We will get through this difficult situation. We said what we believed. It's time to do it again. Perhaps I can say that even without being at the head of the DP, even without being an MP, one must find the strength to tell the truth. 

No need to be in a chair to do battles. Merger must be done in values. From those who seek a normal opposition and not a farce. "There is no greater damage than what has been done to the country so far ", said Topalli.

If he would vote for Sali Berisha for chairman of the Democratic Party, Topalli said: "You know that I have been a collaborator for a long time with Berisha and in that period the Democratic Party ruled when he was in government and did good things and when he was in opposition he made real opposition ”.
