The Laws Committee in the Municipality of Tirana has included in the agenda of the Municipal Council meeting the Socialists' request for the dismissal of Erion Veliaj from the position of mayor.

The laws approved the Socialists' proposal, and this draft decision will be forwarded to the Municipal Council, which is expected to meet today at 4:00 PM to decide whether to approve the dismissal or not.

Those who voted in favor of including the item on the agenda for the meeting were Xhilda Kito , Halit Valteri, Endrit Brahimllari, Agim Kraja, Sonila Qato , while the only one who did not vote was the Democratic Persuasion advisor, Fabian Topollari .

Democratic councilors claim that the request for dismissal was articulated by them three months after Veliaj's arrest, but Endrit Braimllari from the ranks of the Socialist Party, countered that the political conditions have now matured for the municipality to go to elections./ Topic
