Do negotiations fail? DP divided into 2 groups also in September

The Democratic Party will continue to function divided in the next parliamentary session. Despite the ongoing negotiations and communication between the parties, on the eve of the first session of the Parliament scheduled to be held on the afternoon of September 5, both groups within the DP have planned to start their political action separately.

Initially, the deputies of the DP parliamentary group who recognize Alibeaj as the group's leader will meet at noon in the Parliament of Albania. The purpose of this meeting, according to the notification received by the deputies, is related to a draft drawn up by experts for territorial reform. The draft will first be presented to the deputies of the Special Commission for Territorial Reform, then the draft will be presented to the other deputies of the parliamentary group.

But another move to discuss the internal crisis in the Democratic Party was undertaken by the MP Lefter Gështenja, who once again assumed the role of the organizer of a meeting of the deputies of the DP parliamentary group. According to the deputies, the meeting will be informal and will discuss the political strategy that will be followed in the future. A similar meeting was held in July of this year, but it did not produce a result in terms of the DP's unification.

Even Sali Berisha has decided not to wait too long for the movement of the deputies regarding the reformation of the parliamentary group. Sources told ABC that at the weekend, Berisha will call a meeting of the Presidency where he will define the priorities of the political action. Earlier, the leader of the Democratic Party stated that in the future, protests will be continuously used as an instrument of reaction to the government, while regarding the internal organization of the party, he clarified that after the elections for the leadership of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi will be at the head of the parliamentary group. ./ ABC
