The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a communication on social networks with followers, described the past week as "extremely hot, dominated by protests across the country, in Tirana and in a series of districts of Albania against corruption, the arbitrariness of the leader of Meduza, Edi Rama, and his criminal organization."

"The week was a week of fires, dozens and dozens of numerous fires, which threatened not one, but several inhabited areas of the country, homes and the lives of citizens. In the face of these fires, the narco-government continued its holidays. Edi Rama and his ministers were basking in the sun, playing godfather and in complete indifference to what was happening. For over 2 weeks, dozens and hundreds of heroic firefighters and others have bravely faced the fires in the four corners of the country. They have not received a single extra penny to this day, except for Edi Rama's deceptions. The pictures of their food are miserable. It is an ignorance, a deep, shameful ingratitude for the sacrifice and sweat they shed, the danger these men, but also the citizens, face", said Berisha.

"Meanwhile, the youth civic protest, the hurricane of freedom continues undefeated. All of Edi Rama's efforts to divide it, all the forms used to threaten and flatter them, have shamefully failed. That protest is today the voice of Albania in Europe and in the world. Regardless of the criminal indifference that the government and Edi Rama demonstrate towards it. Regardless of the methods of political and psychological terrorism that are used against the protesters, nothing will stop the hurricane of freedom without triumphing. Autumn is the autumn of Albanians, it is the autumn of freedom, it is the autumn in which citizens take their destiny into their own hands. Therefore, I invite every democrat to participate in the protest, to support the protest with his or her participation, as a historic contribution to the country, as a historic contribution to the future of Albania," added the democratic leader.
