Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has ordered a protest to be held, likely to block the work of the Council of Mandates, Regulation and Immunity, which meets on Monday to consider SPAK's request for his arrest.
Berisha has asked his supporters to gather in protest on Monday at 10:00, when the meeting of the Council of Mandates will be held in the Presidency of the Assembly.
It is reported that MPs Flamur Noka and Gazment Bardhi have spoken against starting the protests, while the meeting has been accompanied by debates.
SPAK has asked the Assembly to authorize the arrest/revocation of the freedom of MP Sali Berishia.
The former prime minister was ordered to appear every Monday, but he refused three times to appear before SPAK, claiming that the decision was in violation of the Constitution.
In these circumstances, SPAK has changed the measure from mandatory appearance to "house arrest".
Berisha has said several times that he will implement the decision, but at the same time today he announced protests, which he argued are part of the opposition action and have nothing to do with the issue he has with the justice system.
We remind you that Berisha is a defendant in the affair of the privatization of the former Partizani sports complex, together with his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi.
