The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated again that the attack on him was ordered by "Edi Rama and his people, to hit the DP and the entire Albanian opposition".

Berisha made the comments during the PD Presidency meeting, where he added that he forgave the author of the attack, Gerti Shehu, but emphasized that he did not forgive the attempt to eliminate the PD.

"Gerti Shehu, with all the evidence, is an informant of the criminal police. He is so unbalanced that he got a mental and physical health report and testimony and got his license. It is so imbalanced that it has taken loans from banks. If it were at least out of hand, every man would make every effort to clarify it. It was an assassination against every democrat.
