Fredi Beleri, after failing to win even a legal battle to get permission to be sworn in as mayor of Himara, seems to have returned to extremist and divisive rhetoric. He did this during an interview with the Greek media.

In an interview for Greek radio, Beleri stated that the ultimate goal of Prime Minister Edi Rama is to impoverish the Greek minority on the southern coast of Albania.

Beleri said that Edi Rama "wanted to develop the coastline of Himara Municipality with his political associates, friends and economic factors, which would ensure his stay in power in the coming years. Rama's ultimate goal, according to Beler, is to enrich his supporters and impoverish the local Greek population.

In the end, Beleri once again thanked the Greek Prime Minister for his support, State Minister Papastavrou, MP Syrigos and MEP Kefalogiannis, who visited him in prison.
