Fredi Beleri has returned to Fier prison to serve the remaining sentence after the constitution of the European Parliament.
The member of the European Parliament, Fredi Beleri, returned to Fier prison, while he was accompanied by the opposition candidate for Himara, Petro Gjikuria .
In a statement to the media, Beleri said that he asked for conditional release, while emphasizing that he hopes that justice will act this time without being influenced.
He praised Gjikuri's candidacy, saying that he has nothing to do with the mercenaries brought by the government to command Himara.
Fredi Beleri: As I told you, I went back to prison today. I did not use my immunity as an MEP. I came back because here in Albania is my home and I am convinced of my justice, if not the courts here, in the European courts.
I am very happy that the candidate for the municipality of Himara, Petro Gjikuria, accompanied me to prison today, a genuine boy from Himara who has nothing to do with the mercenaries brought by the government to command Himara.
Himara in the hands of Petro Gjikuria will be safe, it will have a place in Brussels, America and from here on only good days await us. For me it was a special experience, I was happy, excited and satisfied by the credibility of the Greek voters.
There is a great obligation and a commitment to come clean and support our rights.
I applied for bail, my right, and I hope that justice will not be affected this time.
It never occurred to me not to return because this is my home, this is my life. I have no reason not to go back.
