Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has made public a new act approved today at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, which deals with the confiscation of buildings built without permission.

VKM entitled "On the rules and procedures for the confiscation for public interest of buildings built without permission for the purpose of profit" was made public today, while in the following days other public communications are expected that will help citizens understand the situation.

Balluku stated that according to this VKM, buildings without permission will be confiscated for public use and will be given as compensation to citizens who are affected by public projects. They will also use as funds to expropriate citizens who are also affected by public projects.

Baluku: In the acts that were approved today, it is worth making public an important act. The act deals with all buildings without a permit in Albania or as it concerns a trend of building additions to the permit granted. This kind of trend has a kind of behavior that despite the fact that the permit has 7 floors we do it and 3 floors to legalize them less. This will no longer be allowed. All these buildings which have this specific type will be confiscated for public use. They will be given as compensation to citizens who are affected by public projects. This whole process is a lengthy process based on the law, which is intended to discourage construction companies from breaking the law. For any building found to have violated the permit or any building built without a permit, there will also be an investigation for the institutions that had the task of controlling the territory. There will be no tolerance for any of the builders who have built without permission. Everything that is built without permission will be transferred to the benefit of the people.

The minister added that there will be no tolerance for all builders who have built without permission.
