"The Assembly of Albania has the votes to approve any law, it has the votes to approve laws with 3/5s and 2/3s, which is the number of votes for amending the Constitution. It is not correct for me to express myself today since the opposition MPs have not yet read the amnesty law. Every MP should vote for what he thinks and what is good for the country. The law on fiscal amnesty is good for the country's economy. Don't rush to your long-standing conclusion that it's not the votes," said Balla.
Regarding the People's Advocate who is elected by the Assembly, Balla said that the opposition has the right to propose, but that, according to him, it does not respect its candidates.
"The fact that the opposition did not respect the candidacies it had supported in the December 22 session, remember that the opposition boycotted the voting process on a claim that turned out to be false, that turned out to be connected to another vote," said Balla .
According to him, even if their claim was true, it proved that the opposition does not even respect the candidates it brings.
Balla said that the best way to elect the People's Advocate will be if the opposition brings four candidates, two are chosen by the majority and then one is decided. He said that this form was functional for the election of the chairman of the Central Election Commission years ago.
