The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, calls on citizens to get the flu vaccine.

Minister Koçiu's call comes at a time when a total of 13,000 cases of flu have been reported throughout the country in the last week alone. Some hospitals, such as the one in Fier and Kukës, have encountered a large load of visits from people affected by the flu.

"Free flu vaccines are distributed in health centers throughout the country for all risk groups, medical personnel, children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases.

The flu vaccine is the best and most effective protection against respiratory viruses caused by the flu virus.

Get vaccinated, protect yourself and others", writes Minister Koçiu.
