He emphasized that it is not time to give up.
SPEECH:
"I didn't think that one day I would be able to stand on a podium near the prime minister's office and speak in front of so many people about concerns that affect us all, which we discuss every day with friends, in fact.
It's a strange feeling, but it's also liberating to know that you think the same way I do. Like you, I also think that in this country, things are not going as they should. I am not saying that we were the most perfect country in the world, but now problems are in the air. Humiliation and scandals that replace one another in record time. But above all these times, I have noticed an extraordinary increased dose of stress, anxiety, uncertainty for the future, and mainly the fading of hope. This is where the situation begins and becomes serious. Personally, I can allow myself all the downs and blows that life gives me, because after all, that's life, shake me up from time to time. But there's only one thing I never allow him to do, to bring me down to the point where he makes me give up. I will never do it because firstly I believe in God and I know that I always have him by my side, and secondly I believe in another chance that will be given to me. So in short, I always have hope. Hope not in vain, but based on my strengths and the idea that if you want to change something, I should be the one who should make the first attempt.
Unfortunately, lately, not everyone is thinking like me. Lately, hope is fading. Many of us have given up. Demonstration delivery. Unconditional delivery. The main indicator is nearly 1 million Albanians who have changed the prefix in their phone number only in the last few years. They ran outside. They are not honorable ladies and gentlemen of the third age. Not that they don't want them, but no one accepts them. They are our age, even the younger generation. 18-20 year olds who are full of energy and can't get it out here in their country. They want to contribute, they want to reveal their vitality in this country, some with their physical strength, some with their intellectual strength. But they see that it is not worth it.
Most of my friends have left today. Most of my tribe, the people of my blood, are outside this country. Most Albanians have built their lives outside Albania. This is the reality. A reality that cannot be covered with propaganda and words that not only do not make you believe them, but also insult the intelligence. Ridiculous words that destroy our dignity. And a man without dignity is more than surrendered. In fact, don't be surprised. This is their goal. To surrender unconditionally, to the point where we don't even have the strength to raise our heads to face those who humiliate us.
Maybe what I'm saying may seem cliché to some, but I really still believe and I don't give up for the reasons I told you above. If we want to bow our heads tomorrow in front of our children when they ask us why you didn't fight for us, then we disperse now, otherwise, I would very much like to give ourselves a chance for the new generation. For those who are currently powerless to react. For those who will look us in the eye tomorrow and despise us for the chance we had to change their lives, and we didn't.
With God on our side and with our heads up, let's give ourselves another chance, so that tomorrow when we face our children, grown men and women, they will say Thank you!"
