WhatsApp will stop working on these smartphones
WhatsApp

This happens every year with phones that are too old and with operating systems that can't support new versions of apps. In this case it is WhatsApp which will stop working on about 50 smartphone models.

Therefore, those who own the devices on the list should consider buying a new smartphone if they want to continue using the instant messaging app. Both iPhone and Android devices are included.

Why and when Whatsapp will stop working

WhatsApp will stop working on smartphone models too old to support the new expected update. This condition does not guarantee safe use by users.

These are Android smartphones from 10 years ago that support version 4.0 of the "Ice Cream" operating system and Apple devices that have not been updated beyond iOS 9.0.

"To keep up with the latest technological advances, we regularly stop supporting older operating systems and focus our resources on newer ones," said Meta.

And in fact, the developers are working on a new feature: users will be able to see new available updates and report them in case they violate the terms of service and are suspicious.

So it becomes essential to know which devices WhatsApp will stop working on from 2023. That way, you will have time to take action. If you don't want to give up the most used instant messaging app in the world. Here is the list:
