Scientists discover a new organ in the human body

We thought we knew almost everything there is to know about the human body, but there is always more to discover, such as a new organ.

That's exactly what a team of researchers from the Netherlands did when they realized that we have another organ, and they discovered it completely by accident while studying prostate cancer.

It turns out that this hidden organ was right under our noses.

But how a team studying prostate cancer ends up discovering an organ in the human head, considering that they are two different ends of the body.

Scientists studying cancer performed a series of scans on patients injected with radioactive glucose that makes tumors glow in the scanner.

The team at the Netherlands Cancer Institute realized that two areas inside the patients' heads were glowing brightly and realized that a group of salivary glands had been inserted there.

The discoverers called the organ "tubarial salivary gland" and it can be found behind the nose; at the corner where the nasal cavity meets the throat.

The discovery of the glands came as a shock to scientists, leaving experts baffled as to how they were able to remain undetected for so long.
