Time zones can certainly be confusing, and they baffled passengers on a flight traveling from Seoul, South Korea to San Francisco, USA on New Year's Day, meaning it was going back from 2023 to 2022.
The plane took off from Seoul 35 minutes after midnight on January 1, 2023, and landed in San Francisco at 5:14 p.m. on December 31, 2022.
The time difference between these two cities is up to 17 hours, although the flight itself takes about 9 hours.
Flightradar24 followers, who posted this on Facebook, were delighted and some recounted the situations they found themselves in.
“I once traveled from Sydney to Honolulu on a 10-hour flight. The plane left at 6pm on a Saturday and arrived in Honolulu at 7am, also on a Saturday! I enjoyed two Saturdays, but even the jet lag was confusing,” said one user.
This is so cool!
