Young tennis star Yibing Wu has suffered another health problem as he collapsed to the ground unconscious at the Mubadala Citi DC Open in the US capital.
The shocking scenes come just weeks after the Chinese, ranked 90th in the ATP world rankings, suffered a similar incident during her Wimbledon opener against Frances Tiafoe earlier this month.
The 23-year-old Wu defeated Yosuke Watanuk 4-1 in the round of 64 of the tournament in Washington DC on Monday, but was forced to withdraw from the match.
His withdrawal from the match saw Watanuk, 25, automatically advance to the next round.
Footage shared by Tennis TV showed the young star collapsing as he approached his chair.
Staff rushed to get him to his feet but had to gently lower him to the ground before helping him off the pitch to undergo medical checks.
By the time he fainted at the London tournament earlier this month, Wu appeared to be suffering from breathing problems.
Wu had just lost the first two games of the second set at the time before complaining of shortness of breath. After being checked by the medics, the 23-year-old was sent to the dressing room for an initial three-minute break, which eventually stretched to 15 minutes.
And according to ESPN the extended layoff came after Wu passed out while in the locker room.
