After the publication of his autobiographical book, Prince Harry spoke again in an interview for "The Late Show", where he spoke about his relationship with his brother.
Asked, 'If your mother was still alive, have you thought how she would cope with this moment?', the Duke of Sussex said they would never have come to this point. "We would not have reached this point. It's impossible to say where we would be, where our relationship would be, but there is no way I would have this distance from my brother," he said.
Asked if he ever seeks his mother's help, or if he tries to think of what advice she would give him, he said: "I've said in many interviews that I've really felt my mother's presence, especially in these years last. And in my book I have described in detail how we go and talk to him at the grave. He felt that she had been with him for a long time, helping him build his life, and then moved on to me."
Prince Harry added: "I've felt it more strongly in the last two years than I have in the previous 30 years." Even for several years after her death, as he confessed, he did not believe that his mother was no longer alive: "For many years I had dreams, I was convinced that she was still alive. I was 12 years old and I couldn't face the reality that she was gone. I thought he was hiding. That she was taking a vacation and was planning to come back and get me, along with William, out of here.”
