On the occasion of the marriage of singer Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner, the Arbëresh community of Piana degli Albanesi (Hora e Arbëreshëvet) in Sicily organized a special tribute in honor of the couple.
The newlyweds were presented with traditional Arbëreshë "Panieri" earrings, made entirely by hand by the master goldsmiths of Gli Ori di Piana Lucito.
The gift symbolizes the cultural heritage and Arbëresh identity, conveying a part of the history and tradition of the community.
The ceremony was also enriched by a special artistic performance, where ten girls dressed in traditional costumes of Piana degli Albanesi performed folk dances and presentations.
The atmosphere was accompanied by the sounds of Arbëresh music performed by Pierpaolo Petta.
Representatives of the municipality of Piana degli Albanesi also participated in the event, turning the event into an important moment of pride for the Arbëresh community and the promotion of Albanian culture in Italy.
