In April 2022, the "Only Murders in the Building" star said during an appearance on "Good Morning America" that he had not been online in four and a half years.
"It has completely changed my life," she said at the time.
"I'm happier, I'm more present, I connect more with people," added Gomez. "I understand how powerful the Internet is and in many ways it has done the best things for the world. But I can get the really important news through my people."
The actress has been open about her mental health issues, including being diagnosed with bipolar and depression and anxiety.
Gomez said during an interview in 2021 that she had stopped using Instagram because it seemed like "too much information".
"I felt like my thoughts and everything I consumed revolved around a million other different people in the world saying good and bad things," she said. “And I just thought, 'Why should I? I get nothing from it. So I broke away."
In her latest post, it appears that Gomez has returned to Instagram, perhaps because she now feels ready and doesn't think the online pressure will have the same effect on her.
She was dubbed the "Queen of Instagram" in 2016 after being named the most followed celebrity on the social media platform.
