A woman who allegedly fired a gun at Rihanna's home in Beverly Hills, California, could face life in prison after being charged with 14 felonies, including attempted murder.
Ivanna Ortiz, 35, was charged Tuesday, March 10, with one count of attempted murder. According to the criminal indictment, the act was “intentional, premeditated and planned.” She also faces 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon and 3 counts of intent to commit an offense against an inhabited dwelling. If convicted, Ortiz could face up to life in prison. She is scheduled to make her initial court appearance on March 25.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney stated: “ The pointing of a gun in any residential neighborhood is extremely dangerous, life-threatening, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Fortunately, no one was injured during this incident, but this reckless violence will not be tolerated in our community. Those who point guns will end up in prison.”
The home where the incident occurred belongs to Rihanna, 38, who lives there with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children: RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and 6-month-old daughter, Rocki. Rihanna's mother and two employees were also at the home.
Ortiz allegedly drove up to the house and fired several shots with a semiautomatic weapon. She also allegedly shot at a neighbor's home where two other people were, totaling 10 criminal charges against her. After the incident, Ortiz fled, but was arrested a short time later in Sherman Oaks.
Ortiz is a Florida resident and has a prior arrest history. Sources said the incident was "horrifying" for Rihanna, but thankfully no one was hurt. It is not known if Ortiz has any personal connection to Rihanna.
