Early detection saves lives!
Dear friends and friends,
I want to share some news with you. Today I left the University Clinical Center of Kosovo - Thoracic Surgery Clinic after breast cancer surgery.
Three weeks ago, during a routine check-up that I do every year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and following the recommendations of the doctors at the University Clinic, we decided on surgery and treatment.
For all the girls and women who did not get a breast exam during October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PLEASE do it as soon as possible. Routine screening can be done in family medicine centers, regional hospitals and in all places where mammography is offered.
Early detection saves lives, while delays in early detection and identification can have much more serious consequences.
Thankfully, I caught it at an early stage and the treatment is much easier than in the advanced stages.
A special thanks to the radiologist Dr. Shkëndije Nuza, thoracic surgeon Dr. Avni Behluli, director of the Thoracic Clinic Dr. Nazmi Kolgeci, anesthesiologist Dr. Medita Hashimi, sister/nurse Sadbere as well as the nurses and all the support staff of the Thoracic Clinic in Pristina.
Their commitment and dedication was professional and very humane.
Thank you all for your encouraging messages and support.
Health and love to all of you ??
