Popular singer D4vd has been arrested by police in Los Angeles in connection with the death of teenager Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found in the trunk of his Tesla car in September last year.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the 21-year-old artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was arrested on April 16 and is currently being held without the possibility of bail.
Authorities say the case will be presented to the Prosecution Service on Monday, which will decide whether there is sufficient evidence to file charges.
Burke was arrested in the Hollywood Hills area, while sources close to the investigation have stated that he has not been cooperative during the investigative process.
On the other hand, his lawyers have categorically denied involvement in the girl's death, emphasizing that their client is only under suspicion and no official charges have yet been filed.
The shocking incident dates back to September 8, 2025, when the lifeless body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in a seized Tesla car, registered to the singer. The vehicle had been reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills for about a month, while police intervened after reports of a strong odor coming from the car.
According to authorities, the victim is believed to have been dead for several weeks before being found. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation, and the case has been classified as a possible homicide.
