In the framework of the elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, which are being held today, the State Prosecution has taken all necessary measures to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

Prosecutor Laura Pula has stated that up to 100 prosecutors have been engaged in all municipalities of Kosovo to monitor the progress of the elections and guarantee the protection of the vote.

"In the entire Republic of Kosovo, there are up to 100 prosecutors in 38 municipalities. It is true that from 7 am we are guardians of the sovereign's vote. We are trying to be there at critical moments and initiate every case related to possible violations against the right to vote," said Pula.

According to her, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo includes 11 criminal offenses related to the violation of the right to vote, and any violation will be treated seriously by the justice authorities.

As of 3:00 PM, the prosecution has reported the arrest of six people in three separate cases, who are being held for further investigation.

"We cannot consider the cases to be either small or large, but they can affect the image of the electoral process. What we can say for sure is that persons involved in illegal actions will face legal consequences," Pula stressed.

She added that the State Prosecutor's Office is following up on any complaints of irregularities and is ready to intervene immediately in the event of any violation.

"We treat any information published on portals or reported by citizens seriously and act in coordination with the investigation to take the necessary measures," Pula concluded.
