Knife attack in Dublin, several people suspected of being injured

A man has been arrested in Dublin after allegedly stabbing several people.

The incident is said to have occurred in the Stoneybatter area, near the center of Dublin.

The Garda Siochana, the Irish police force, said the perpetrator has been arrested and is being held at a station in the northern city.

"There is no ongoing risk to the public at this time. Further information will be provided when it is available," a police spokesman said.

There is a large police presence in the area and other emergency services are present. According to several witnesses, it is suspected that the perpetrator armed with a knife went from house to house and attacked anyone who opened the door after calling them.
