Greek police have solved the murder of Polish professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski on July 4 in Athens, Greece. Five people are involved in the incident, the professor's ex-wife, her partner, two Albanians and a Bulgarian. The arrested Albanian is Andrea Sherri, 24 years old, and the other Albanian is a 16-year-old.
According to authorities, the plan was allegedly hatched after a court ruling allowed the professor to take his children abroad. The Polish professor had previously filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife's current partner for threats and physical harm, reporting specific incidents of violence. The perpetrator of the murder, during his confession to the police, tried to take full responsibility for the incident, however, the evidence describes an organized action with the knowledge and cooperation of the 35-year-old
He recruited three accomplices, two Albanians and a Bulgarian, telling them: "We want to go somewhere to beat up someone who is bothering my girlfriend." They used a rented Porsche Cayenne, in which they followed the 43-year-old from the moment he was in Haidari, where he met with his ex-wife and their children, to Shën Paraskevi, where the murder plot was organized. The rented vehicle was tracked by the police through the rental company, which led the police to the two Albanians.
Immediately after the murder, the perpetrator allegedly abandoned his accomplices and boarded a taxi bound for Nafplion, attempting to hide. At the same time, he had given his mobile phone and car keys to another person, in order to create a false alibi that he was supposedly in Argolis and not at the scene of the crime.
As for the professor's ex-wife, she is suspected of trying to cover up all traces. Immediately after the murder, she turned off her phone and deleted all data. However, police found a photo of the victim on her phone, taken from behind, on the day of the murder, showing exactly what she was wearing - a fact that, according to authorities, documents her role in preparing the crime.
At the same time, although the confessed killer's phone has not been found, investigations revealed that his communications with his ex-wife were made via the encrypted Signal app, using a number belonging to her son. All this evidence strengthens the authorities' conviction that this was a premeditated murder, with the clear involvement of more than one person. Four men have already confessed, while the woman denies any involvement. The case has been referred to court, with charges including intentional murder, incitement and complicity in murder.
