The process of constituting the Kosovo Assembly has failed for the 48th time in a row. In today's session, Speaker Avni Dehari once again put to the vote the proposal for the Secret Voting Commission, which has not received support from any political party except Vetëvendosje.
There were 100 MPs present in the Assembly hall, of whom 51 voted “for”, while there were no votes against or abstentions. MPs from other parties used the podium to express their objections to this voting method, but were interrupted by the chairman of the session.
In front of the Parliament building, symbolic actions were also held against the institutional blockade that continues to hinder the functioning of institutions.
The Constitutional Court has given MPs until July 26 to constitute the Assembly, but without clarifying what will happen if this deadline is not met.
