The Wagner Group has stopped rebelling against the Kremlin.
Evgeny Prigozhin has distributed an audio message in which he declares that he gave the order for the march back to "not risk the shedding of Russian blood" from one side to the other. Wagner's mercenaries, he specifies, had reached "200 kilometers from Moscow", but are now turning south.
Evgeny Prigozhin has accepted Alexander Lukashenko's proposal to stop Wagner's mercenaries and reduce tensions. This is what the Belarusian president stated, as reported by the Russian agencies Tass, Ria Novosti and Interfax. An "acceptable solution with security guarantees for Wagner fighters" has been found. Negotiations between Lukashenko and Prigozhin continued throughout the day, the press office of the Russian Presidency added.
