The largest Serbian newspaper, "Danas", wrote on Saturday that President Aleksandar Vucic is preparing his resignation, as he wants someone else to make the difficult decisions regarding Kosovo and to impose sanctions on Russia.

Journalist Dragan J. Vučičević reports that close associates of Vučič are the ones who leaked the news that the president is planning to resign.

According to the Serbian Constitution, if Vucic resigns, he is replaced by the head of the National Assembly for 3 months. During this time, he can represent Serbia, announce elections, propose candidates for prime minister, etc.

In recent months, Western countries have increased the pressure on Kosovo and Serbia to reach a comprehensive agreement, in order to successfully close the dialogue process.
