The chief of staff of President Vjosa Osmani, Learta Hollaj, has denied the statement of the head of the Vetëvendosje Movement parliamentary group, Arbërie Nagavci, that Osmani was offered 30 signatures.

Hollaj said that the president was not offered signatures.

"President Osmani denies that she has been offered signatures and support from the Vetëvendosje Movement for re-election as President of the Republic of Kosovo. This is a lie!"

Nagavci, at a press conference, said that Osman was offered 30 signatures, but she did not accept them. After Hollaj's reaction, when asked by journalists, Nagavci stated that they are now showing willingness to offer her 30 signatures.

Vetëvendosje has not clarified whether it will support Osmani with a vote against Konjufca, or whether Konjufca's candidacy will be withdrawn.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, when asked by journalists in recent days about the possibility of Osman's name being proposed by the Vetëvendosje Movement for another mandate, has refused to answer.

Osmani has expressed full willingness to take on another term as President, but has not received support from either the ruling party or the opposition.

Osmani has warned that, even if she fails to win a second term, she will remain present on the political scene in Kosovo.
