The dead bodies of 3 Israeli hostages are found

The Israeli army announced today that it has found the bodies of three hostages kidnapped by Hamas in Gaza.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari identified the three hostages and announced that they had been killed by Hamas on October 7 at the Nova music festival, which was being held near the border with Gaza, and that their bodies were then taken to Gaza.

Spokesman Hagari announced that among them is the body of the 22-year-old Israeli-German Shani Louk, whose photo of her mutilated body in the Hamas car shocked the world about the scale of the Hamas attack.

The other two bodies were identified as hostages Amit Buskila, 28, and Itzhak Gelerenter, 56.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said their deaths were "heartbreaking" and vowed that Israel "will return all hostages, alive and dead."

The Israeli military said it had found the bodies of the hostages overnight, but gave no other details about where they were found.

The Israeli military is currently conducting a military operation in the town of Rafah, where it says its intelligence is holding Hamas hostages.
