United States President Donald Trump officially announced last night the establishment of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, through a post on the social network Truth Social.
Meanwhile, in the message shared a few minutes ago, Trump stated:
“The ceasefire is in effect. Please do not violate it! – Donald Trump, president of the United States!”
According to him, both countries – Israel and Iran – addressed him almost simultaneously with the message: “PEACE!” Trump said that he understood that the moment to act was “NOW”, describing this development as a victory for the entire world, especially for the Middle East.
“The world and the Middle East are the real winners,” he wrote, adding that both Israel and Iran have much to gain from peace and much to lose if they stray from the path of justice and truth.
Trump concluded his message with an optimistic call for the future of the two countries:
"The future for Israel and Iran is endless and full of promise. God bless you both!"
