CIA chief: Iran's nuclear program has been severely damaged
John Ratcliffe

CIA Director John Ratcliffe says he has "credible information" that shows Iran's nuclear program has been " severely damaged" by recent US attacks.

In a post on the X platform, he writes that this includes "new data from a historically accurate and reliable source/method" that shows that several key Iranian nuclear facilities have been destroyed.

According to Ratcliffe, it would take several years to rebuild these facilities.

The Trump administration is denying an intelligence leak that suggests key components of Iran's nuclear program have not been completely destroyed and could be rebuilt within months.

Earlier, during the NATO summit, President Trump repeated his claim that Iran's nuclear program was "completely destroyed."

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon's initial assessment was made with a "low level of confidence," and that the FBI was investigating the leak.
