Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during the NATO Summit conference, also spoke about northern Kosovo, where KFOR forces led by a Turkish commander are stationed.

In his response to Kosovar journalist Urall Bosnjaku, Erdogan said that as long as Turkish KFOR is there, he hopes (using the expression inshallah), there will be no problems.

"Turkey's KFOR is in that area, why is it there? For peace, for tranquility, and as long as Turkish KFOR is there, I hope there can be no and there will be no problems there," Erdogan said.

Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, in a statement during the NATO Summit in The Hague, said that stability in the Western Balkans is very important for regional preservation and stability.

“We remain very attentive. KFOR is present in Kosovo, EUFOR in Bosnia ,” Rutte said, adding that he held extensive talks with leaders in both countries during a recent visit to the region.

He also revealed that a working dinner took place in Brussels with the President of Serbia, highlighting NATO's active diplomatic engagement.

Rutte emphasized that, beyond traditional long statements - which, according to him, often sound like history "from the time of the birth of Jesus to the present day " - NATO aims to focus on concrete actions and effective cooperation.
