The director of the Serbian Intelligence Agency (BIA) Aleksandar Vulin has been sanctioned by the United States of America.

The news was announced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control at the US Department of the Treasury.

Vulin had previously been the minister of defense in the government of Serbia, while he had provoked many reactions due to his aggressive and destructive vocabulary and policies.

The reason for his sanction by the US is related to Vulin's corruption at the expense of stability in the Balkans as well as allowing Russia's dark activities in Serbia.

According to the Treasury Department, Vullin has engaged in corrupt deals that "advance their own political agendas or personal interests at the expense of peace and stability in the Western Balkans."

Furthermore, Vullin is accused of facilitating Russia's dark activities in Serbia and the region through these actions.
