The spokesman once again warned the US to refrain from confiscating Russian assets, stressing that if this really happens, Moscow will not stand idly by.

Approving $61 billion in aid for Ukraine, the US House of Representatives voted over the weekend to confiscate the value of frozen Russian assets to finance the massive reconstruction of Ukraine.

The draft law now also requires the approval of the Senate, but it is practically guaranteed.
