Russia imposes sanctions on 287 British MPs

Russia has imposed sanctions on 287 deputies of the lower house of the British parliament, known as the House of Commons, writes The Guardian .

The people, who have already been banned from entering Russia, are said to have "played an active role in setting up instruments for anti-Russian sanctions in London, and to contribute to Russophobic hysteria in Britain".

The Russian news agency said that on the basis of reciprocity, after Britain sanctioned 386 deputies of the Russian Duma, the Russian Federation has placed 287 British parliamentarians on the sanctions list.
