Russia has decided to suspend gas supplies to Poland from tomorrow under the Yamal contract.

The interruption of gas supply came after Poland refused to pay in rubles.

The news was reported by the Polish website Onet citing government sources and the Polish energy sector.

A crisis team has already met at the Polish Ministry of Climate to address issues, so that this situation does not cause a supply crisis.

Meanwhile, many EU countries are taking steps to end their energy dependence on Russia as soon as possible.

German Economy Minister Robert Habcek recently said that Germany is close to independence from Russian oil, adding that the embargo is already manageable.
