Deripaska reappears and openly criticizes Putin: Russia may not have any money
Oleg Deripaska and Putin

Oleg Deripaska, one of Russia's most famous and wealthy entrepreneurs, has always been described as one of the oligarchs closest to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

But since the start of the Russian attack on Ukraine, his position seems increasingly critical, publicly calling it a tragic mistake in June of last year.

Yesterday, at the economic forum taking place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, the "aluminum king", who has interests in dozens of different sectors of the Russian and world economy, gave a speech contrary to the enthusiasm of other participants about the state of the Russian economy.

"Starting next year, we will have no more money. Russia may exhaust its funds, which are dwindling significantly. Sanctions are hitting us more and more. We need foreign investors, we thought we were a western country, but now for another 25 years we will be forced to think about our Asian past. We used to sell in dollars and euros, now we are selling in Chinese yuan.

He does not directly spare the Kremlin's approach, “State capitalism is at a dead end. I see with terror the resources spent this year, moving towards socialism does not serve, we have experienced these chimeras once".

It is not the first time that Deripaska has gone off the rails and then been forgiven by the Kremlin leader, so much so that many analysts think that his messages may actually be secret expressions of the "tsar" Putin himself.

Deripaska has recently been mentioned in Albanian politics, as one of the characters of the McGonigal case, in the role of financier of the former senior FBI official.
