Pantiçi and many other former officials of the Serbian community in Kosovo had resigned from the Kosovo Police at the beginning of November.

Currently, he is under house arrest for terrorism charges in Kosovo. In his place, Dejan's son, Predragu, accepted the award.

"This award from the state, from the president, is a great honor both for the father and for us as a family," said Predrag Pantiq, Kosovo-Online reports.

He then went on to accuse the state of Kosovo of not allowing them to visit him while he was in custody.
